Evening all. I’m sorry but this isn’t going to be my only post this evening. Later on tonight you will have the “11 things to do in 2011” post, but before then I want to share my first week of Wreck this journal with you.
First, an introduction. Wreck this journal is a book put together by Keri Smith and it is a book of instructions that you need to follow. There are loads of random things to do and I think it’s perfect. I’ve wanted one for a while and thanks to my darling Sister I now own one – yay!
Here are some pictures of our first week together…
This is the shiny, new Wreck this journal (awwww…).
This is Journal after I’ve attacked it with a silver Sharpie. I know it’s lame but it’s not permanent, I just didn’t want it to look all new for too long. I am going to cover it in something like a chalk board paint or sticky back purple flock. I’m swaying towards the flock… Leave a comment if you have any better ideas! Maybe some flock with some felt animals… I feel an idea brewing.
This is pretty self explanatory. Thanks Sharpie.
Intro page – a single line. This was actually more fun than it looks.
Work in progress.
Another work in progress; i’ve done the base colour and now I think it’s time for some dots. Might buy some sticky dots in different colours to stick on to the yellow background.
Yep, I chose a nice easy one to start off with… numbering the pages. I didn’t, however, do them in order or with any kind of pattern. Oops!
DIAMONDS! Poundland sell stick on diamonds and I am in love. Do I thought I would encrust this random page. Do you like? I LOVE!
STICKERS! I love stickers almost as much as I love diamonds and this is how I’ve chosen to interpret this page. I’ve started peeling labels and price tags from all over the place. This page is going to be fully loaded pretty soon, I can tell.
Another work in progress but one of my favourite pages. I love a good scribble.
Stamps, glorious stamps. Yep, i finally have an excuse to save my stamps. Okay, I had an excuse before and that was to donate them to charity, but I’m sorry, they will be going in my journal for the next year. Collecting for charity will resume next year.
This one annoys me slightly… this page should have been black, but nope… I’m sticking white things on a white page. Didn’t stop me sticking in some white sugar. Oh yes!
So there you go, there is my first week with Journal. It has been fun and there is so much more to do (i’ve not even broken the spine yet and that’s at the beginning of the book!) and I can’t wait to really get my teeth in.
